Hello my dear readers,
If the title of this post caught your attention and you are still reading this, then I must assume that you are either living in Delhi or planning to visit Delhi sometime during rainy season. Therefore I must stick to the outfits that would be suitable for wearing in Delhi Rains. However if your city has a similar weather the you must read on, I am sure some of it would be useful for you. So lets get started!
Delhi has a harsh weather and this statement cannot be challenged at any season of the year. So we fashionistas have to keep up to the latest trends also facing the weather problems that Delhi has to offer. It has a very short rainy season ranging from July to September. The much awaited rainy season is interesting as it relieves people from the hot and humid climate, but not quite as much. Shorter rains are followed by bright sunny day which increases the humidity and you keep sweating profusely. You are torn between what to wear which will cope up the humid weather outside and chilly ACs inside. Here are some looks which you can sport while keeping up with the rainy weather.
1. For professional look

I simply love this look. The tie-up hairdo for keeping you relaxed and comfortable in humid weather, also goes with anything. Try wearing light colors like white, pink, green and light blue as it goes with the overall season and makes you look vibrant. The cotton blouse solves this purpose. Although an umbrella is not always necessary because it doesn't rain as much here, but it can be very useful for preventing direct sun rays.Treggings are comfortable and we all love it, you can pair them either with a shirt or with a t-shirt or any kurta. You can wear peep toes like these for a professional look, also they will keep the air coming, but be careful while going out cause it can be a bit slippery. A cotton trenchcoat can be very handy if your AC is too chilling or if by any miracle you feel cold outside (though it seems impossible :P). Also it adds a sophisticated professional touch and they look the most flattering on anybody. It happens with me all the time that I keep fanning myself outside and shivering inside with ac on. And how can we forget the ever so important purse! You can take this oversized clutch which will all your credit/debit cards, important documents, phone and most importantly $$CASH :D

No maxi dresses, long skirts or trailing jackets. Go with those cute shorts, minis and capris and see his eyes hooked on to you. Pair them with crop top or spaghetti top. Also go for fabrics which dries up quickly and easily. Everyone would agree with me that hair becomes the messiest during this season of the year, so try avoiding keeping your hair open. Wear your hair in a bun or a nice braids. With messy buns and braids so much in fashion these days, you will never run out of options. Also to keep your stuff like lipstick money etc you will need a bad, and i cannot think of anything other than a sling bag which is very handy and easy to carry. Ditch those heels for comfortable boots since you don't want your attention to be divided between your aching ankles and him. Shop this look:
1. Skirt
2. Top
3. Sling bag
4. Boots
5. Jacket
3. Ethnic

It’s time to wear that bright color salwar kameez you have been saving for all these months. It is amazing that how pants give a western vibe to the Indian wear garments. Pair a plain kurta with printed pants which will be perfect for work, date or any other event. Pair this outfit with vintage black metal neck piece and earrings to get that boho look. And for your pretty feet you can wear kolhapuris.
